Alpha R-Lipoic Acid (ARLA) is the natural, bioidentical form of Alpha lipoic acid (ALA). However, while traditional ALA supplements contain 50% synthetic Alpha S-Lipoic Acid (ASLA), ARLA contains no synthetic ASLA. Only ARLA has the strong, biological antioxidant-enhancing properties that are important for cellular health. Acts as a metabolic antioxidant and is a powerful scavenger of dangerous free radicals. Has a critical role in regulating normal metabolism and energy production. Contains alpha R-lipoic acid.
