Formulated with Salicylic Acid (from willow bark), an effective method of acne control. Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in aspirin. It is used as an exfoliant, and has the ability to penetrate deep into pores (AHAs do not), exfoliating inside the pore. It is thus considered effective for reducing clogged pores and breakouts. Because it is related to aspirin, salicylic acid retains some of aspirins anti-inflammatory properties.
