Green Tea Extract is made from the leaves of the plant camellia sinensis and is standardized to contain more than 50% EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate). EGCG is considered the most significant active compound in green tea and is thought to possess antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, antitumorogenic and antibiotic properties. In experimental studies, green tea exerts greater antioxidant protection than Vitamins C and E, and increases the activity of antioxidant enzymes. ASSISTS WITH: Hyperlipidemia, Antioxidant.
