*In growing bones and throughout adult life, specialized bone cells synthesize new tissue while others remove older tissue, a natural remodeling process that helps to maintain healthy bone structure. When resorption, or removal, of old bone tissue by cells known as osteoclasts occurs at a faster rate than synthesis of new tissue, bone health is compromised. Ipriflavone is a synthetic derivative of naturally occurring soy isoflavones that studies have indicated may help to maintain healthy osteoclast activity. It achieves this by promoting the secretion of the hormone calcitonin and by helping to maintain healthy intracellular calcium. As a result, ipriflavone supports healthy bone maintenance. At the same time, ipriflavone supports type 1 collagen and the formation of mineralized bone matrix. Vitamin D3 promotes optimal calcium absorption from food, providing essential support for joint health.
