Of the eight isomers of vitamin E, d-alpha tocopherol has the highest biopotency. It is the natural form of alpha-tocopherol and has twice the activity of synthetic alpha-tocopherol (dl-alpha). Thorne's vitamin E is extracted from vegetable oils using a distillation process that prevents potential protein allergens from reaching the finished product. A natural emulsifier has been added to facilitate absorption.
